Apple And Hyundai Working Together To Develop A Smart Car
Apple is known for venturing into different industries to expand its business. Recently, it has been surfacing that Apple is about to join hands with Hyundai to develop a new smart car. The rumours were being seen for quite some time, but Hyundai has now confirmed that it is in talks with the tech giant, Apple, to develop a smart car.
Hyundai’s spokesperson said, “We understand that Apple is in discussion with a variety of global automakers, including Hyundai Motor. As the discussion is at its early stage, nothing has been decided.”
Just last month, it was reported that the Apple car may arrive in global markets even sooner than originally planned. Economic Daily News of Taiwan stated in a story that the company’s production unit based in Taiwan is getting ready to produce the components of Apple car on a huge scale. The car could hit the market as early as the 3rd quarter of 2021.
However, multiple other reports have refuted this claim. Industry experts believe that such a major change in the launch date is very unlikely, specially given the current pandemic, the business developments around the world have been delayed significantly.
Even though no set date has been announced for the launch of the Apple car, it is confirmed by the company that it will be launched within the next couple of years. This means, sooner or later, we will be able to witness the unveiling of a new smart car.
Given that it will be the result of a collaboration between two huge names, one from the tech industry and the other from the auto world, we can surely expect a car full of advanced features. Let’s see what these companies have in store for us regarding the new smart car.
